| General Information
Practice/Attendance
Players should plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to a scheduled
practice time, to ensure that they are dressed and the courts
are cleaned and prepared for practice to begin on time.
Practices are mandatory unless
any of the following exceptions occur. Family Emergency Illness/Injury
High School sport conflict College Visiting/Testing Inclement
Weather (check the website for cancelled practices)
NOTE: Missing practice for homework
and studying (including finals) is not considered an excused absence.
This is an important part of our student athlete’s time
management skills. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis,
but are not encouraged.
*Please contact your coach when you will be missing practice
and make plans to make that practice up that week with a team
that is close in age and level.
Multi-Sport/Multi-Activity Athletes
Please provide your coach with a practice and competition schedule
prior to the start of your season. AVALANCHE/CLUB FUSION programs
allow for multi-sport/activity athletes. Practices missed due
to an extra-activity school function are excused. The athlete
will have the opportunity to make-up a missed practice by attending
another team’s practice, in the same week of the missed
practice. However, missed practices can have effects on a team,
and a player’s playtime by position at events could be effected
by these absences.
Major Tournaments
Please plan your schedules around the Junior National team’s
list of dates for major tournaments (National Qualifiers, Regional
Qualifiers, etc.) and when potential conflicts arise, contact
your Coach immediately.
** Note: Major Junior National tournaments (qualifiers, nationals,
etc) are a priority over other sports and activities. Junior National
player’s attendance is mandatory and they are responsible
financially for these events.
Coach/Player/Parent (24 hour rule)
Issues do come up during the season. We have a communication plan
(24 hour rule) between coach/player/parent that will be strictly
adhered to. When issues arise please do not approach the coach
at practice or an event. Wait 24 hours, to call the coach to set
up a meeting to address and discuss the issues. The order of communication
will be: 1) Coach and Player 2) Coach, Player and Parent 3) Coach,
Player, Parent, Club Director.
