JVDA End of the Year National Event

• I was able to find an address on the web for the playing site.  However, I have not been able to confirm this address with anyone at JVDA so please double check with coaches and hotel staff and confirm the address upon arrival at the hotel.
• Coolers won't be allowed IN the convention center, but, outside the center will be fine.

The Galt House

• The current charge is $12.00 per night. Valet parking is offered for $18 per night.

Chaperones

• All Chaperones for AVC have  suites and your name is on the room. You can call 1-800-the-galt and make sure you have a fridge. Just give them your name and let them know that you have team needs that require a fridge...
  Do so, asap- as a lot of clubs are staying there...
• Because you will be shuttling and staying with the girls, Fusion WILL cover your parking costs at the venue and at the hotel.
  
  Now- you will have to keep ALL your parking receipts. Send them to Fusion upon your return with your address of where you would like to have your check sent. The Fusion address to use to send your receipts:

• GET A ROOMING LIST OF PLAYERS FROM YOUR COACHES and keep it with you at all times.
• make plans for breakfast,
• big lunch *(good meal) if you have an afternoon start, *(should be there at 12 to eat if start is 3pm). PLEASE HELP MONITOR TEAMS MENU CHOICE-as it shouldn't be a salad, it shouldn't be greasy, and please... NO POP/SODA!!!!
• maybe start to google the downtown area and check in with restaurants WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE on where you could go for your good meal for dinner if you had an a.m. start,
• You might call those restaurants and see if they would entertain your group and what
  their procedures are for reservations, etc.
• You might also check in for pizza places, sandwich places, pizza hut pasta, etc. for the meal after the girls play if you have a pm start... that way- they eat a loaded carbo meal and right to bed...
• You also might think if you have a pm start and will do the pizza- to collect that few dollars from the players prior or from the parents at the play site and call to order the pizza/pizza hut pasta when you are done playing so that it can be ready for the girls when you get right back- as they will have to go to bed...
• There are some restaurants close by like TGI Fridays and Hard Rock but that after a certain time (8pm, I think) the street closes to anyone under the age of 21.

Dues Payments

Just a reminder that the last dues payment was due on 2/15/08 and the JVDA Dells trip due date was 2/28/08. Those amounts need to be paid asap. Players who do not have it paid and to Fusion by next Friday, 3/14/08 will be taking off the floor and will not be allowed to go on the trip. Please send this payment asap to:

Tournaments

Coaches, parents and players please be sure to check the tournament schedules the night prior or the morning of your tournament to make sure your playing time or location has not changed. Some tournaments have different pools playing at different locations so be sure to check the schedule for your location. As we receive schedules we try to update the directions page for you.

New Driving Laws

Travel

Since the girls' will be staying as a group, the hotel rooms for the teams, chaperones and coaches will be coordinated through Fusions Travel Coordinator. Please check with your team mom to see if anyone has secured a group of rooms that parents can take advantage of. It is suggested that you secure your rooms as soon as possible for all tournaments as they do fill up fast.

All Travel Information for players & chaperones for all the tournaments during the 2008 season should be in the hands of every team mom and every head coach. If you are unaware of the travel plans for ALL tournaments, please check with one or both of those parties to get that information. Price breakdown sheets should come out 1 month prior to the trips. Please render the due date on them as they have to be paid or your child will not be eligible to travel. Any questions, please email.

General Info

Practices
Your uniform package included practice t-shirts and it is expected you will be wearing these at each practice.
Practices are closed to parents and public.

Balls
Please be sure to put "Avalanche" and your name on your ball. You will be bringing your ball to practice and tournaments and if you have the club name on the ball and it stays, whoever finds it will know which way to toss it so it can find its way home.

Uniforms
Please be sure to put your name in permanent marker on each of your uniform pieces

Boys Jersey Washing Instructions
** Machine wash using mild detergent at 176º F max (Machine wash COLD)
** Dry at a normal dryer setting on household machines.
** Do not iron directly onto this material.
** Do not dry clean.

Tournaments
If you are at a tournament and have to ref the last match all players are expected to stay until the match ends.
