Welcome to Avalanche VB 2008-2009!
Hello and Welcome to Avalanche Volleyball 2008-2009!
We are so happy that you've taken the time to research our club and search
for the necessary information that will help you make the right consumer
decision - as there are many choices out there when it comes to club volleyball.
Avalanche has prided itself on 3 years of success both on the court with athletes,
off the courts helping to mold and mentor kids positively and recruit those players
who seek the next level of play as their dream future. Please see our about us tab
above for more on our 3 years of awesome history and the strides that have been made
to improve our club every year.
The 2008-2009 season has many elements to be excited over at AVC. We will again
try to launch the 10-11 year old season. Along with that age group, we look forward to filling
15 female teams this year at AVC from ages 12-18 years. We will look forward to a season at our
home court of IBA in Aurora. We will look to expand our facility to 5 courts from 4 courts last year.
Proudly, all AVC teams will practice at IBA all season long and receive the same opportunities for
advanced training and the enhanced experience. Regional teams will have a longer season than in the
past. And, all travel teams will have the full season experience ending in a final competition
to be determined by the win/loss record of the regular season.
We will continue our advanced training with Core 1 Training with advancements in the type of training
and also with the advancement of volleyball specific equipment both for court training and core training.
Given the new and wonderful options of the JVDA, travel will change this year for returning players and families.
This information and more specific changes will be sent out to you returning AVC families. And, for new perspective
players, we will share these specifics during our Parent Meeting the day of tryouts. So, that while your daughter
is trying out, you gather necessary information that will help you both as a family decide that AVC is the place
for you and your daughter. Information at this meeting includes price, season perspective, tournaments, uniforms,
philosophy, mission of our club as well as services and talents available to you and your daughter. Please see our
tryout link on the right of this page in red for more specific information about tryouts for 2008-2009.
Our consistent goal is to improve the club volleyball experience for players and families. We are ready and committed to that mission in a variety of ways in year four.
Feel free to surf the web site for information and details about Avalanche VBC. To our families, we appreciate you being a part of Avalanche VB and look forward to a successful 2008-2009 season. To those new to AVC, feel free to email me or my Administrative Assistant, Sue DeWeerdt, with any questions you may have.
Go Avalanche!
Sincerely,
Kerri McCastland
